Typically most Al-Anon family group meetings are considered Closed to the public. These meetings are limited to members and prospective members, giving them the freedom to share and listen to the experience, strength and hope of one another on a confidential and anonymous basis.

Open meetings in Al-Anon welcome anyone and everyone, who is interested in learning about Al-Anon Family Groups. People who attend open Al-Anon meetings include:
